This project known as the Nutrition and Sustainable Agri-Food Collaborative, aligns with the Young African Works strategy of the Mastercard Foundation to empower three million young Ghanaians by 2030, through research, education, and entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector.
The agriculture sector in Ghana is acknowledged to contribute over 54% to Ghana’s GDP. The sector holds untapped potential, not just for food security, but for opportunity, innovation and livelihoods. “To enable young people to lead the transformation toward a more nutritious, sustainable, and prosperous agri-food system, backed by a network of universities, technical schools, training institutes, communities, and stakeholders.”
